When do I have to pay for my reservation?
We require a credit card number to hold your reservation, at which time we will e-mail a confirmation to you. We will run your credit card automatically for the balance of your stay when the reservation has been confirmed. You must be at least 24. All prices are subject to change without notice. Each cabin has a strict maximum occupancy, additional persons over the maximum occupancy will not be allowed. Currently, the local tax rate is 3%.
What if I book through an agent?
It is up to the consumer to confirm what property you are staying at, the type of unit, how many people it sleeps, the configuration of beds, whether it has a ladder to a loft, has a kitchen or kitchenette, how accessible it is to you, date, price, taxes and that you understand our cancellation policy. Cancellation must be made directly through Serenity by the Sea Cabins, not an agent. We are not liable for incorrect information given to you by any agent or person other than Serenity by the Sea Cabins.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation period is prior to 30 days before arrival less a $35 administrative and merchant/credit card fee. After that time we do not refund for any reason. If you book less than 15 days and cancel there are no refunds. If you have made your reservation through an agent please be aware of our cancellation policy as posted on this website. You will receive an email confirmation to ensure all dates are correct and the reservation is confirmed. Make sure the accommodations described are what you reserved. Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns or questions.

Can I bring my Pet?
We no longer allow pets.
What else do I need to know about the cabins?
Each cabin has a steep ladder-type stairway accessing the loft. This access is not appropriate for small children or people with limited mobility.
WiFi, While we do have Wifi here at the end of the road through TelAlaska at times it can be intermittent. It’s not great for streaming so we have provided some DVDs. Please feel free to use your hotspot, bring some DVD’s or you can rent DVD’s from the local grocery store. You can also download media on your computers to bring with you.
What if I can’t get to the cabins because of the weather or something else?
This is Alaska, things happen, Mother nature can and does sometimes interfere with travel plans. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance or check to see if your credit card company provides coverage for unforeseen incidents. The weather here can be very dynamic and unpredictable. While it doesn’t happen often we will not be responsible nor refund if you are unable to reach the cabins due to road closures, rock slides, weather, road construction, or acts of God. We will do everything in our power to help but we do not guarantee anything.
Can I cook in my cabin?
While we do allow cooking in the cabins we ask you to please be considerate of the guests to follow you and refrain from cooking fish or other dishes that leave a lingering odor in the cabins. Cooking fish in the cabins leaves an unpleasant odor that is very hard to remove. Excessive odors may incur a cleaning/damage fee of up to $250. We provide a very nice gas/charcoal grill in the outside community area for cooking. Fish always tastes better cooked on the grill.
What if I want to cook up some fish or Seafood?
We know that many of you love to fish, we do too. As stated in the cooking in cabins paragraph please be considerate of the guests to follow you and do not clean fish in the cabins or on the property. There are fish cleaning stations located in many locations at the small boat harbor. Please keep smelly fishing clothes/gear/boots/coolers out of the cabins. Excessive odors may incur a cleaning/damage fee of up to $250.
Do you provide linens?
Our policy is to change the bed linens every five days unless requested otherwise. Towels are changed every three days or upon request. If you require additional linens please let us know. Also, the pillows with shams are for decorative purposes only. Please do not use for sleeping. Extra sleeping pillows can be provided upon request.
Do you recycle?
We strive to be green. Please place plastic, aluminum cans, glass, and cardboard in the recycle container provided in your cabin.
We would appreciate it if you would please turn off the lights and turn the heat down when leaving your cabin.
Can we wear our shoes/boots in the cabin?
Please observe the Alaskan tradition of removing your shoes/boots upon entering your cabin.
What is your policy on damages or cleaning Fees?
Damages, including stains that cannot be removed from the cabins/contents/bedding will be billed for the cost of replacement. If you stain linens or towels please let us know right away, maybe we can fix it so we don’t have to charge you for replacing the item. The need to do excessive cleaning and/or deodorizing as a result of your stay could result in additional charges. Please be respectful of the guests that will follow you so that they may have an enjoyable stay as well.
Where can I find more Information?
You will find a binder located in your cabin that will have important additional information. Please take a moment to go through it.
What about Acts of God/Nature?
On rare occasions, we can get weather/conditions where you may be unable to reach the cabin or may have to leave your cabin early. We will not be liable or responsible nor will we give refunds for Acts of Nature, including, but not necessarily limited to, earthquakes, adverse weather, fires, explosions, floods, other natural catastrophes, road conditions, landslides, and utility outages.
